The opponents of the Assad regime had moved from defence to attack, in the city heavily bombed by Assad forces' planes.
The opponents gained control of the city following the intense fight between the Al-Fajr Al-Islam brigade of the Free Syrian Army and the Assad forces.
Commander of Al-Fajr Al-Islam brigade Ebu Salih stated that they have cornered the Assad forces and they were "losing power day by day."
