Turkish singer Müslüm Gürses, who has been under treatment in intensive care for the past four months, is in critical condition, his doctor said on Friday following media reports that the singer had died.
Gürses, who is 60 years old, was taken to the intensive care unit at İstanbul's Memorial Hospital in November after undergoing heart bypass surgery.
Media reports said on Friday that the famous singer had passed away, a claim later denied by his doctor Deniz Şener.
“Gürses is on life support. We may lose him,” Şener said, adding that his patient's condition is no different from two or five days ago.
