Two Turkish students have been arrested for giving a Nazi salute to Israeli students while on a trip to a former concentration camp in Poland.
According to TVN24, the incident happened on 6 October at the Majdanek concentration camp just outside of Lublin.
Reports say that the two Turkish students chanted ‘Heil Hitler’ along with giving the Nazi salute when they came across a tour group of Israeli students.
On receiving complaints from the Israelis, Polish police arrested the pair who will now be prosecuted for fascist propaganda.
The Turkish students have rejected the charges, saying that they were only joking.
If found guilty, they could be sent to prison for three years.
