The Boeing 777 from Toronto to Istanbul, due to land in Istanbul at 5pm today (Monday), made an emergency landing at Gander International Airport in Newfoundland Sunday night, one hour after take off from Toronto airport (9pm local time).
The pilot of the airplane, flight number TK18 with 280 passengers aboard, made the landing at the closest airport, Gander International Airport in Newfoundland.
The plane took off again after a one hour delay leaving the patient at Gander International Airport.
