Turkey's Turk Telekom buys intl telecom giant Invitel International
Turk Telekom on Tuesday signed an agreement to purchase Invitel's international wholesale business.

Turk Telekom on Tuesday signed an agreement to purchase Invitel's international wholesale business.

Invitel International is one of leading service providers of Central and Southeastern Europe with its 27,000 km optical fiber network in 16 countries.

Turk Telekom signed share purchase agreement with Invitel Holdings A/S to acquire 100 percent of the shares of Invitel International for 221 million euro.

Turk Telekom, which is about to be an important geographical contact center, seeks to strengthen its position with this deal and develop its data operations unit.
