Turkey's disaster management authority said that the death toll was 10 from a 5.6 magnitude earthquake that hit the eastern province of Van on Wednesday.
Turkish Prime Ministry Disaster and Emergency Management Directorate (AFAD) said on Thursday that, as of 02.00 p.m., the number of injured people was 27 in the earthquake.
Nearly 785 search and rescue personnel were dispatched to the region, AFAD said.
The quake occurred at 09.23 p.m. on Wednesday.
