Six Turkish universities entered the list of world's best 500 universities prepared by the Dutch Leiden University.
Turkey's Hacettepe, Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara, Ege, Istanbul and Gazi universities entered all 25 categories prepared by the Leiden University.
Leiden University's ranking was based on the number of articles published and researches made between the years 2005-2009.
