Turkey extends Gulf of Aden mission
Mission term of naval elements of Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) was extended for one more year in Gulf of Aden and off Somalia.
Mission term of naval elements of Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) was extended for one more year in Gulf of Aden and off Somalia.
Turkish Parliament adopted a motion extending the mission term of Turkish mariners for one more year as of February 10, 2012.
Turkish mariners are present in the region under decisions of Turkish Parliament and UN Security Council to maintain the security of Turkish-flagged ships as well as to prevent piracy and armed robbery.
