President of Turkish Red Crescent, Ahmet Lutfi Akar, has said that Turkish Red Crescent would leave Mogadishu after producing impressive works in the city.

Akar inspected the area of Turkish Foundation and Industrial Vocational High school which the Turkish Red Crescent is going to build in the Abdul Aziz district of Mogadishu. During his visit, he was informed about the project by civil engineer, Semih Tuncer.

Replying to the questions of journalists at the construction area, he said that the working-on-land was assigned to Turkish Red Crescent by the Somali government and said, "6,500 square meters sized Turkish Foundation project will be based on the architectures of Ottoman and Seljukian. There will be Turkish feel inside it too, we are planning to add Turkish bath and a masjid. There will be a hostel for Turkish citizens to stay too."

"Industrial Vocational High school will be providing education in machinery, electric and computing to 360 students and will be able to accommodate 240 students," stated Akar.

Akar also added, "Turkish red crescent will be departing from Mogadishu by leaving impressive works behind. They are all charity works, we work for supporting people here. Turkey will be setting up asphalt and concrete plants and city furniture factories on a 70 decares of land. They will be completed in six months time."

Alongside Turkish Red Crescent, the Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA) and a Turkish charity, Kimse Yok Mu, will be building hospitals.
