An ongoing fire that broke out in Latakia, Syria, three days ago is nearing Turkish borders.

On Sunday, the fire had reportedly gotten 400 meters closer to the Turkish border. However, the fire has continued to grow due to the negligence of Syrian authorities; the Syrian government has allegedly not done anything to contain the fire.

Turkish firefighters had been battling several blazes along the Turkish-Syria border in the past few weeks in areas through which thousands of Syrians are crossing while attempting to flee fighting in their country.
