A documentary on "Suleyman the Magnificent" broadcast on French TV channel "France 2" on Tuesday night broke a rating record.
The documentary was watched by 3.5 million people and broke a rating record with 18 percent of all viewers watching the documentary.
The documentary was shot in Istanbul and France with the contributions of the Turkish Culture and Promotion Office in Paris. It included interviews with historians, views from historic locations in Istanbul, views of the Bosphorus and scenes from TV series "Magnificent Century".
The documentary will be broadcast again soon.
