Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu held a phone conversation with the European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton.

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu on Thursday held a phone conversation with the European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton.

Sources said that Ashton phoned Davutoglu and the two leaders discussed the developments in Syria.

Upon a question from Ashton, Minister Davutoglu conveyed information on the Syrian refugees in Turkey and those that are planning to come.

In my opinion, if we want to understand Erdogan's words clearly, firstly, we should understand the parameters of Turkish foreign policy.
