A sub-commission of the parliamentary Coup and Memorandum Investigation Commission will hear testimony from former Chief of General Staff Gen. Hilmi Özkök about coup attempts within the Turkish military.
The sub-commission, which is investigating the Sept.12, 1980 military coup, will hear Özkök in the light of his recent statements about the Sledgehammer coup plot.
Özkök is expected to come to Parliament on Oct.4 and give information to the coup investigation commission about coup attempts within the military.
