The joint UN and Arab League special envoy on Syria, Lakhdar Brahimi on Monday met with the Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Mahmud Zebari in Baghdad.
Speaking at a press conference after meeting Brahimi on Monday, Zebari noted that Brahimi arrived in Baghdad to receive Iraq's views on the Syrian crisis.
"We support a political transition so the Syrian crisis ends," Zebari underlined.
Also speaking at the press conference, Brahimi said that they discussed the problems of Syria and the threat that these problems pose to regional countries and global peace.
Brahimi called on Iraq to protect their interests and make use of their influence on Syria.
