
The Higher Board of Counter-Terrorism convened Thursday under the chairmanship of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan at Prime Ministry building in Ankara.
The board's meeting lasted about six hours.
The board will convene again on Tuesday, said a statement which was released after the meeting.
Convention came after PKK's Friday attack. 15 Turkish soldiers were killed, 20 others were wounded and two soldiers went missing, Friday in an assault staged by PKK militants from north of Iraq on Aktutun Gendarmerie Border outpost in Semdinli town of southeastern province of Hakkari. Turkish soldiers killed 23 militants in clashes that erupted.
