European Union Institute for Security Studies: "It is an obvious secret that DTP is connected to PKK in a way and PKK is a terrorist group."

In a report prepared by European Union Institute for Security Studies, it is stated that DTP is connected to PKK in a way. In "Kurdish problem" section of the report entitled "Crisis in Turkey:

A new barrier in the way to Europe?" it is stated that DTP shares the similar fate with AKP and it is said that "Both of the two parties are seen anti-Kemalist.

However; this definition is partially correct for DTP, because it is an obvious secret that the party is connected to PKK in a way".

It is stated in the report that DTP followed a different way in order to reach the minimum number of votes to enter the parliament. They decided to join the election with independent candidates.

The former DEP MPs Leyla Zana, Hatip Dicle and Selim Sadak tried to acquire votes during the process and their most powerful rivals were "Feudal elites", supporters of the right-wing. PKK's attacks are defined as "terrorist actions" and the members of PKK are defined as "terrorists".
