Turkish Airlines Company (THY) signed formal sponsorship agreement with British football giant Manchester United.

THY, the 4th biggest airline company of Europe, will carry Manchester United to tournaments and training camps in all matches under the 3.5 year sponsorship agreement.

THY's logo will be in all advertising boards in Old Trafford Stadium.

Body of a Boeing 337-800 passenger plane "Tunceli", belonging to THY, was painted to red, black and white, the colors of Manchester United, known as "The Red Devils".

Earlier, THY had also signed sponsorship agreement with Spanish team FC Barcelona.
THY is Turkey's national airline company and is one of the fastest growing carriers in Europe. The Istanbul-based airline is using Istanbul's Ataturk Airport as a hub for flights to Europe, Asia and Africa in partnership with the Star Alliance group of airlines.
