A member of the Executive Board of Tema Holding said LC Waikiki will enter foreign markets and take a giant step in the year 2011.
A member of the Executive Board of Tema Holding, Sefik Dizdar, said Tuesday LC Waikiki will enter foreign markets and take a giant step in the year 2011.
Speaking to the AA, Dizdar said that LC Waikiki was already a leader in Turkey in ready-made clothing sector.
In a short period of time, every Turkish province will have LC Waikiki shops. Our aim is to open up to new foreign markets, Dizdar noted.
LC Waikiki has over 250 shops in different corners of Turkey. The company employs more than 9,000 people in Turkey.
Costs of production in Turkey have increased for textile goods. As such, we have erected a giant factory in Egypt that employs around 2,000 people. All items produced in Egypt are being exported to the United States and Europe without being limited by quotas, Dizdar also said.
LC Waikiki, which was bought in 1997 by the Tema Group and has operated as a Turkish brand, was first born in France, as a French brand.
As a Turkish brand, the Tema Group has transformed LC Waikiki into a market leader, both in terms of its collection as well as its approach to retail. With a history that reaches back to 1985, LC Waikiki continues as a successful brand today.
