World Bulletin / News Desk

A decline in oil prices and gains by tech stocks led to a mixed close on Wall Street on Wednesday.

The Dow fell 118 points to end the day at 20,404 and the S&P lost four points to 2,338.

The Nasdaq decreased 13 points to finish trading at 5,863.

Fitbit and Tesla saw their shares increase 2.3 percent and 1.8 percent, respectively.

Crude oil prices plummeted to their lowest point in the last two-and-a-half months after U.S. gasoline inventories rose 1.5 million barrels last week, the Energy Information Administration announced earlier Wednesday.

Analyst expected a decline of 1.9 million barrels.
