Aguila Saleh, the speaker of the internationally recognized parliament in Tobruk, said "We continue to receive stabs in the back from countries that back terrorism in Libya," without mentioning the names of these countries.
"We will not allow terrorism to prey on our country and divide it," he added during the 26th Arab summit, which kicked off in the Egyptian resort city of Sharm el-Sheikh on Saturday.
He said terrorism had spoiled what is known as the "Arab Spring", or the series of popular uprisings that swept through the Arab region starting from 2011.
He said in case the Security Council rejected a request by his government to lift the embargo off the Tobruk army, the government would ask the Arab League to issue a resolution for supplying this army with needed weapons.
