A painting, believed to be the famous French artist Paul Cezanne’s ‘Young Italian Woman at a Table’, which has an estimated value of $150-200 million, has been seized in Turkey’s northwestern province of Yalova.
The police in Yalova province responded to a notice and seized the painting from a vehicle inbound from neighboring Bursa province in Turkey’s northwest.
Police said the painting was sent to the Museum Directorate of Bursa for examination.
Three suspects in the vehicle between the ages of 40 to 45 years old, were processed on charges of “smuggling natural and cultural artifacts.”
