Turkish minister of energy and natural resources Taner Yildiz said the explosion on the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas pipeline was committed by PKK militants.
According to the minister, gas supply was ceased as a result of the attack of the separatist PKK to the gas pipeline section.
“We see the intention by the terrorist separatist group to encroach on the needs of our citizens living in the region, leaving them without a source of energy. This will not go unpunished," Yildiz said in a statement.
