The assertion came during a meeting between Tamim and Iraqi Parliament Speaker Salim al-Jabouri, who arrived in Doha on Sunday for an official visit.
Al-Jabouri thanked the Qatari leadership for their support for Iraq in different fields, including terrorism-combat, the official QNA news agency said.
Monday’s meeting tackled bilateral relations between the two countries and developments in Iraq and the region, QNA said.
In a donor conference held in Kuwait earlier this month, Qatar pledged $1 billion in loans and investments for rebuilding Iraq following the country’s fight against the ISIL terrorist group.
