Outlawed Kurdistan Workers' party (PKK) have killed four Turkish soldiers in a clash in the country's southeast on Wednesday.
TRT says the clash occurred near the town of Eruh in Siirt province on early hours of Wednesday.
The deaths come over a week after PKK militants killed eight Turkish troops and wounded several others in an attack along the Iraqi border.
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Tuesday said 31 PKK militants were also killed during the June 19 clash.
Turkish warplanes and helicopter gunships have twice attacked suspected PKK hideouts across the Iraqi border over the past week in retaliation.
The PKK, which has been fighting for autonomy in Turkey's mainly Kurdish Southeast since 1984, was founded on Marxist ideology. Turkey has been conducting airstrikes on PKK camps in northern Iraq's mountainous region and inside Turkey since August of last year, following an increase in attacks on Turkish troops and civilians by the PKK.
The conflict has claimed tens of thousands of lives. The group is labeled a terrorist organization by the European Union and the United States, which has supplied Predator drones to assist Turkey.
