The Torture Museum in Moscow gives visitors a chance to explore the history of torture and executions in Russia.
It features various instruments and methods used to torture criminal offenders of the past.

Founder of the museum Valeriy Pereverzev told RT that he views these items of torture as “pieces of art”, adding, “for me this is a great example of creativity of designers, as we call them now, of the past centuries.”

Also, there is a separate section dedicated to the torturers of Soviet yesteryear, and etchings depicting torture and executions.
The museum offers horrific sights from the past that provide a window into the less civilized and highly grotesque society from centuries ago.
