"A commissioned officer" stages attack in Damascus
A opposition intellectual Dr. Mohammad Suri claimed that the attack on the building during a National Security Council meeting actually targeted Bashar al-Assad.

A commissioned officer staged Wednesday's bomb attack in Syrian capital of Damascus, an opponent has claimed.
Dr. Mohammad Suri, a prominent opposition intellectual, told the Anadolu Agency on Thursday that the attack on the building during a National Security Council meeting actually targeted Bashar al-Assad, but it failed.
Suri said that it was not a suicide attack, stating that it was staged by a commissioned officer from the opposition.
Assad's brother Mahir Assad was injured seriously in the attack, he said.
Suri said the blast boosted morale of the opposition.

In my opinion, if we want to understand Erdogan's words clearly, firstly, we should understand the parameters of Turkish foreign policy.
