Turkish Actor Sonmez Atasoy and his daughter actress Fadik Sevin Atasoy pioneered establishment of the community and held a news conference in Manhattan on Friday.

The community will first perform play "Kanli Nigar" (Bloody Nigar) in May.

Sonmez Atasoy said, "we aim to strengthen Turks' --living in the USA-- relationship with traditional and modern Turkish art."
