Taze, a barber who went to Saudi Arabia from the southern Turkish province of Iskenderun, was released, according to Turkish Foreign Ministry.

Serife Taze, mother of Ersin Taze, in an earlier statement said her son was arrested at the beginning of May on charges of "swearing the Prophet".

Another Turkish citizen, Sabri Bogday, was sentenced to capital punishment 13 months ago in Saudi Arabia on charges of "swearing at the God". His trial at the court of appeals has still been continuing. Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan held telephone conversations with King Abdallah bin Abd al-Aziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia about him.
