Turkey-EU Troika FMs meeting to be held on Sept 15th
Turkey-EU Troika Foreign Ministers' meetings take place once every six months since the Helsinki Summit in 1999 at which Turkey's candidacy status was affirmed.

Turkey-EU Troika Foreign Ministers' meeting will take place in Brussels on September 15th.

A delegation led by Foreign Minister Ali Babacan will attend the meeting.

Turkey-EU Troika Foreign Ministers' meetings take place once every six months since the Helsinki Summit in 1999 at which Turkey's candidacy status was affirmed.

Previous meeting was held in Ankara on May 6th, 2008.

Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner of France which currently holds the rotating EU presidency, Foreign Minister Karel Schwarzenberg of Czech Republic which will hand over EU presidency as of January 2009 and EU Commissioner for Enlargement Olli Rehn will be in attendance at the meeting.

Babacan is set to hold bilateral talks with EU officials during his stay in Brussels.
