A Thomas Cook passenger jet was hit by lightning on Thursday night after departing from Dalaman Airport and had to make an emergency landing at the Adnan Menderes Airport in western province of Izmir.
The A 320 type passenger jet suffered technical failures in its electrical system due to the lightning.
The jet is expected to depart from Adnan Menderes Airport at 2100 hours on Friday after repairs have been completed.
