Delivering a speech at the "1st Trabzon Silk Road Businessmen's Summit" held in the Black Sea province of Trabzon, Tuzmen said Turkey suffered from several crises in the past, and therefore, the country gained experience.
Tuzmen said Turkey currently tried to connect Europe, Asia and Africa to each other with a network of trade and logistics.
Noting that the Asia-Pacific region became the new center of the world trade, Tuzmen said, "Turkey does its best to benefit from this new process and tries to improve the highway and railway infrastructure on the Silk Road".
Tuzmen said Turkey had important projects on its agenda such as the Bosphorus Tube Tunnel Project, Istanbul-Ankara-Sivas Speed Train Project, Kars-Tblisi-Baku Railway Project and a project on the improvement of the railway network between Turkey and Iran.
Tuzmen also said that guest ministers and high-level governmental officials of various countries would hold talks within the framework of the "1st Trabzon Silk Road Businessmen's Summit".
Speaking at the summit, Turkish Public Works and Housing Minister Faruk Nafiz Ozak said that Turkey was ready to share its global experience in the construction sector with Black Sea countries.
Ozak also said that the Turkish province of Trabzon had the potential to become the commercial center of the Black Sea region.
A total of 250 foreign guests from 19 countries including 5 ministers, 2 deputy ministers and 14 chamber of commerce heads are attending the "1st Trabzon Silk Road Businessmen's Summit".
