According to christianity, the birthday of Jesus Christ was celebrated at the House of the Virgin Mary in a rite held in Selcuk town of the western province of Izmir on Thursday.
Priest Oviona Granella led the rite at which verses praising Jesus Christ from the Holy Bible were read aloud.
The rite lasted around one hour.
