Turkish Red Crescent Aid Society has sent 44 trucks of humanitarian assistance to Gaza on Thursday.

Speaking at a ceremony held in Red Crescent's Disaster Operation Center in Ankara, Turkish State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Hayati Yazici said that Turkey acts sensitively on developments taking place not only in its region, but in all corners of the world.

The Turkish government, statesmen, non-governmental organizations and all related bodies extend a hand of assistance wherever incidents that hurt humanity take place," Yazici said.

Turks all across the country reacted sharply and strongly after the massacres in Gaza, Yazici said.

Touching on Turkey's assistance provided to Gaza, Yazici said that 10 injured Palestininas have been carried to Turkey for medical treatment.

"Turkish International Cooperation Agency (TIKA) sent food materials to Gaza. We have sent 10 ambulances and power generators to Palestine," Yazici stressed.

"The Turkish Red Crescent has sent 35 trucks load of aid materials to Gaza between January 2 and 20. Medical equipment have also been sent to Palestine via planes," Yazici said.

"I hope that incidents in Gaza will not be repeated neither in Gaza nor any where else in the world," Yazici also said.
