Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan congratulated Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who was elected the president of Iran for the second time.

They called Ahmadinejad on the phone and congratulated him for his success in the election.

Ahmadinejad won 62.6 percent of the votes in the presidential election on June 12 and became the president of Iran for the second consecutive period.
