Racists in France attacked a mosque, defacing with anti-Islam insults and Jewish symbols, a French newspaper said.

According to local newspaper La Depeche, racist graffiti as ''death to the rats and ''dirty race get out'' were written on the walls, and a symbol of Jewish stars of David was drawn with black paint on the walls of the mosque in the town of Tarbes, in Hautes-Pyrenees region of France.

The administrator of the mosque, in which mostly Morroccon Muslims attend, Ali El Yahya said that they filed an official complaint to the police over the racist attack.

The mosque is in service since 1993 in the town. Police continues investigation for the attack against the mosque.
