Turkey's Ambassador to Bishkek Nejat Akcal on Thursday presented his letter of credence to Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiev.

Speaking at the ceremony, Bakiev said, "Turkish Republic is the closest country to us".

Referring to importance of Turkey for Kyrgyzstan, Bakiev said, "we attach high importance to bilateral relations."

Akcal said, "we will serve to further deepen relations".
