The president and minister without portfolio of Macedonia received Turkish businessmen in Skopje on Friday.
Macedonia's President Gjorge Ivanov had a meeting with businessmen from Turkish Aegean province of Manisa, and said Turkish businessmen would always be welcomed and supported in his country.
"I believe that the business forum to take place in Istanbul in coming days would not only boost relations but also help Turkish business world get introduced with facilities Macedonia is providing to foreign investors," Ivanov said during the meeting.
Turkish businessmen later paid a visit to Macedonian Minister Without Portfolio Hadi Neziri, who defined Macedonia as Turkey's door opening to Europe.
Neziri said Macedonia wanted to make use of Turkey's experiences, and investment conditions were very convenient for businessmen who wanted to invest in Macedonia.
"You should not see Macedonia as only a market with 2 million population. Macedonia is the heart of the Balkans, and there is an opportunity to address the entire Balkans from here," Neziri also said.
Turkish businessmen later met Turkey's Ambassador to Macedonia Hakan Okcal.
They will also visit Macedonian cities of Bitola and Ohrid.
