EUROPE CANNOT INTERFERE IN BASHIR'S VISIT
Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir's visit to Turkey caused problem between the EU and Turkey. EU said that Turkey should reconsider its decision on inviting Bashir to Turkey for the meeting of the Organization of Islamic Conference because of an international warrant against him. President Abdullah Gul said, "it is a special visit. EU should not interfere in the matter."
TOURISM MINISTRY TAKES ACTION AGAINST SWINE FLU
The Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism have started to work for the tourism sector so that the sector would not be affected negatively by swine flu. Culture and Tourism Minister Ertugrul Gunay said that they would hold talks in several countries to explain that there was no risk in Turkey. "There are no cancellations for hotel reservations in Turkey due to swine flu," he said.

Health experts in Turkey are urging all citizens not to panic over swine flu. "Do not touch your eyes, mouth or nose with your hands. There is no need for panic," said many experts.
KARABAKH GESTURE TO AZERBAIJANIS FROM TURKISH PRIME MINISTRY
Turkish Prime Ministry has made an important gesture to Azerbaijan. The Prime Ministry State Archives Department's "100th Book" was devoted to the issue of Karabakh. The book is titled "Karabakh in Ottoman Documents" and has 700 pages.

FRANCE PROPOSES CLOSE COOPERATION WITH TURKEY
The French government made a proposal to Turkey to establish a working group in order to boost relations. The proposal came during Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu's visit to Paris.

PKK MEMBERS INVOLVED IN CRIMINAL ACTS TO BE SENT TO SCANDINAVIAN COUNTRIES
Deputy Chairman of Foreign Relations Department of the ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party, Suat Kiniklioglu, said that members of the terrorist organization PKK who have not been involved in criminal acts will get rehabilitated. Those PKK members who have been involved in criminal acts will be sent to Scandinavian countries and the problem of PKK will end, Kiniklioglu stressed.
KOC FOUNDATION DONATES 10 MILLION USD TO NEW YORK METROPOLITAN MUSEUM
Turkey's Vehbi Koc Foundation has donated 10 million USD to the New York Metropolitan Museum. The donation will be used to expand the Ottoman Arts Gallery at the New York Metropolitan Museum.

BAGIS PLEASED WITH ATHENS VISIT
Turkish State Minister and Chief Negotiator for EU talks, Egemen Bagis, said that he was pleased with his recent visit to Athens. I held talks in Athens within the framework of new hopes, Bagis said.
MILITARY HELICOPTER CRASHES
A Turkish military helicopter crashed in Eruh town of southeastern province of Siirt on Friday. Two pilots in the helicopter were injured and taken to a military hospital in Sirnak province. The cause of the accident is not known yet.

A CRIMINAL IN ISTANBUL
Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir's visit to Turkey caused a problem between Turkey and the EU. The Union said Turkey should reconsider its decision on inviting al-Bashir to the meeting of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation (COMCEC) of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC). President Abdullah Gul said Sudanese President al-Bashir would visit Turkey for a special meeting and EU should not interfere in the matter. The International Criminal Court (ICC) has declared al-Bashir a war criminal and issued a warrant for his arrest.
TRAGEDY OF MIGRANTS
A boat carrying 19 illegal migrants from Palestine capsized off Turgutreis coast in Bodrum on the Aegean coast of Turkey. Seven illegal migrants including six children died in the accident. 12 Palestinians were hospitalized.

BASHIR WARNING FROM EU
Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir's upcoming visit to Turkey for a summit of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation (COMCEC) of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) in Istanbul caused crisis between Turkey and the European Union. Replying to a question on reaction by the EU for al-Bashir's visit, Turkish President Abdullah Gul said, "a meeting will take place on the sidelines of the Organization of Islamic Conference. It is not a bilateral visit."

Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu replied to several questions of reporters aboard the plane en route to France. Davutoglu said, "October was the month of peace. We announced November as the month of Europe." He said they would focus on the relations with Europe ahead of the summit which would take place in December.

TURKEY'S FINAL OPINION ON AL-BASHIR
The invitation extended to Sudanese President Umar Hassan Ahmad al-Bashir for an Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) meeting in Istanbul has caused heated debates. The European Union (EU) has asked Turkey to re-consider the invitation given to al-Bashir. As a response, Turkish President Abdullah Gul told the EU that no one should interfere in the issue --the invitation extended to al-Bashir. Al-Bashir is being accused of killing 400,000 civilians in Darfur. The International Criminal Court (ICC) has declared al-Bashir a war criminal and issued a warrant for his arrest.

1.2 BLN USD TO STATE
The state has obtained an income of 1.15 billion U.S. dollars from privatization tenders of three electricity distribution grids. Calik Enerji won the tender for Yesilirmak electricity distribution grid, Eti Gumus won Osmangazi and energy firm Aksa Elektrik won privatization tender for Coruh electricity distribution grid.
BABACAN TO MEET IMF AUTHORITIES
Turkish State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan arrived in Scotland to attend the G-20 Economy Ministers' Meeting. The meeting to be hosted by British Chancellor of the Exchequer Alistair Darling will take place in St. Andrews. Babacan is expected to meet the International Monetary Fund (IMF) authorities during his visit to Scotland.
