Turkish city officials in Istanbul have reported that passage of transit ships is discontinued due as a safety precaution, as dense fog sweeps over the Bosphorus, Turkish state TV said.

Officials said that the inter-city boats which operate between Asian and European sides of Istanbul, and the flights from Istanbul's Ataturk Airport are continuing without interruption.
