A second Palestinian died from wounds sustained from an Israeli airstrike on the Gaza Strip on Friday morning in the first day of Eid Al-Adha, the Palestinian news Agency Maan quoted the Hebrew-language daily Yedioth Ahronoth was reporting.
Ma'an could not confirm that report, and an Israeli military spokeswoman reiterated that the army was aware of only one Palestinian who died in the raid on northern Gaza.
Palestinian sources had been quoted in Israeli media as saying four men were injured, two of seriously. The second death reported on Friday evening was thought to be among those originally hurt.
The airstrike hit northern Gaza at about 6am, army sources said, adding that it was aimed at a group of Palestinians in the Jabaliya region of northern Gaza that was preparing to launch projectiles on southern Israel.
