Strong wind and tornado killed on Saturday three citizens in a Western province of Turkey, injuring four other, state-run channel said.

A minaret of a mosque in a norwestern province of Balıkesir fell down on Saturday on a public building of the village in because of a strong wind.



Two people died when they could not run away from the collapsed roof of the public building because of the falling minaret.




Also, four-meters long sustaining wall of a mosque in Istanbul collapsed because of a heavy wind. The wall toppled an electricity pylon over two cars. No injured or dead were reported.

Tornado fear

Harsh wind turned into a tornado in the city of Izmir. Tornado threw away the security cottage of a settlement unit. It crashed to Mustafa Kose who is a shepherd and was working around the environment in which the bad event occurred.

Kose died and the security guard injured.

The Asian Sea overflowed in Izmir becaused of the tornado and the heavy rain and blocked routes between villages.

An estimated 600 residents of the village expressed their fear while two minute that tornado continued.
