The Turkish culture minister expressed belief on Monday that Turkey and Iran could cooperate in many projects.

Turkey's Culture and Tourism Minister Ertugrul Gunay said two countries could cooperate in many cultural projects, particularly filmmaking.

"I sincerely believe there are many joint projects we can cooperate in culture, and we are ready to work together," Gunay said during his meeting with Mehdi Mostafavi, the chairman of Organization of Islamic Culture and Relations, in Tehran, Iran.

Also, Mostafavi expressed his country's readiness to cooperate on joint cultural programs, and said two countries could work together also in regional level.

Gunay later visited historical Niavaran Palace in Tehran.

Turkey's Culture Minister Gunay is also expected to visit Saadabad Palace.
