Turkish President Abdullah Gul met with Indian opinion leaders over a working meal in New Delhi on Monday.
The meeting was closed to press.
According to Turkish Presidency web-site, participants of the meal appreciated Turkey's multidimensional, dynamic and constructive foreign policy in recent period.
Participants also pointed out the coherent activities which had been pursued by Turkey and India under the roof of G-20.
Indian opinion leaders said that they expected Turkey's contributions to India's relations with Pakistan, and added that they were interested in Turkey's foreign policy especially towards Iraq and Afghanistan.
Gul is paying a formal visit to India. Earlier in the day, he was decorated with honorary doctorate by Amity University in New Delhi.
