MALICE ALLIANCE IN UNITED STATES
When the vote on the so-called "genocide" resolution was going on in favor of Turkey at the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs, the head of the committee of Jewish descent served Armenian lobby and changed the course of the vote.
When the votes were in favor of Turkey 22-20, Howard Berman, the head of the committee, suspended the vote. Berman and Armenian lobby convinced four congresspeople who had not voted till that moment and three of the congresspeople voted in favor of the resolution. The result was made public before the other congressperson joined the vote.
President Abdullah Gul said the decision had no credibility in the eyes of Turkish people. "Turkey will not be the one to be responsible for possible negative results of this decision," Gul said. The Prime Ministry statement said, "Turkey has been accused of a crime it has never committed. The decision may harm our relations."
BAHCELI AND DEMIRTAS AT PRESIDENTIAL PALACE
President Abdullah Gul met Devlet Bahceli, chairman of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), and Selahattin Demirtas, chairman of the Peace and Democracy Party (BDP). The meetings were a part of Gul's initiatives to ease political tension and seek compromise on constitutional and judicial reform.

Ziraat Bankasi's director general Can Akin Caglar said the bank made the profit of the century in 2009 with 3.5 billion Turkish liras (TL). The bank will pay 906 million TL of the profit as tax.

President Abdullah Gul expressed desire to see a wide compromise for judicial reform in Turkey. President Gul completed talks with the leaders of political parties represented in the Turkish Parliament this week. We want judicial reforms that are at European standards, Gul said.

UNITED STATES COULD NOT SUSTAIN FRIENDSHIP
The U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs turned its back to historical facts and accepted "genocide" resolution with a last minute trick.
Turkey accused the United States of not having vision and Turkey recalled its ambassador Namik Tan to Ankara.
The United States gave in to Armenian diaspora despite Turkey's strong warnings and initiatives of Obama to stop the resolution.
First result was 21 votes against the resolution and 13 votes were in favor. The voting prolonged with last minute trick.
Several members were forced to come to the hall and cast "yes" vote. Another member who would vote in favor of Turkey was prevented by the committee chairman and the result was 23-22.
The draft was sent to the Congress which was earlier rejected for two times.
FULL PRESS TO ETHNICAL TERRORISM
Democratic move has also spread to Europe. Belgian police detained PKK members who were conducting illicit money traffic of the organization.
Broadcast of Roj TV was cut.
Around 300 Belgian police officers launched a wide scale operation against the terrorist organization on Thursday morning. Zubeyr Aydar, known as the cash box of PKK in Europe, and the organization's representative in Europe, Remzi Kartal, were detained in simultaneous operations in five cities in Belgium.

THE MAN THAT BURNED TURKEY
Armenian resolution was accepted with 23 against 22 votes. Committee chairman Howard Berman who gave "yes" vote used unprecedented methods to pass the resolution. He continuously prolonged the voting period and brought MPs who would cast votes to the hall by force.
As the voting began, Berman said, "time came to recognize Armenian genocide". The votes were 22 no and 20 yes. When all the MPs in the hall voted on the resolution, however, the chairman did not close the voting.
Berman went after three MPs who were in favor of the Armenian resolution. He came back to the hall with those MPs 1.5 hours later. The voting ended within a few seconds and the resolution was accepted by 23 votes against 22.
Obama did not oppose the resolution resolutely. The resolution will now be voted in Representatives Assembly General Council. The U.S. President has the right to say the last word.

Belgian police raided PKK buildings on charges that "they send youngsters to terrorist camps in Greece and Iraq. 18 people, including Remzi Kartal and Zubeyr Aydar, were detained. ROJ tv was closed.
The last blow on PKK in Europe was from Belgium.
Counter-terrorism teams, wearing snow masks, launched raid together with Turkish origin police to 28 different locations in five cities at 05.00 a.m. It is reported that the targets were chosen according to intelligence from Turkey's National Intelligence Agency (MIT).
Police Chief in Brussels said, "we have determined that they sent Kurdish youngsters to terrorist camps in north of Iraq and Greece. A very large amount of money has been seized."

HE SEEKS JUSTICE FOR YEAR
Mustafa Balbay, the representative of the Cumhuriyet daily in Ankara, was arrested a year before under Ergenekon investigation, and he is awaiting justice for a year. Although some suspects under the same investigation were released since they could not "darken evidence" or "run away", Balbay is still under detention, which is criticized by jurists.
Turkish Journalists' Association (TGC) Chairman Orhan Erinc and Press Council Chairman Oktay Eksi said trial rules in Turkey had to be re-discussed. Contemporary Journalists' Association (CGD) Chairman Ahmet Abakay said Balbay had been pushed into a convict whose punishment had been given. G-9 Journalists' Platform said they could not understand why Balbay was being tried under detention when those who were claimed to be the primary actors of coup allegations were free.
RESOLUTION ADOPTED
The bargaining that continued till the last minute was not sufficient enough to avoid Armenian genocide allegations. The resolution which acknowledged the incidents of 1915 as "genocide" was adopted at the end of the controversial vote at the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs. The vote was earlier set as only half an hour, however it lasted almost two hours. Twenty-three congresspeople voted in favor, while 22 of them voted against the resolution.
There was a busy traffic during all Thursday. Ankara released a statement which said, "all options are on the table", while Obama administration suggested that the resolution be rejected. U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said the resolution would not be brought up to the House.

PKK OPERATION AT 25 DIFFERENT LOCATIONS IN BELGIUM
300 Belgian police officers raided the cells of terrorist organization PKK at 25 different locations in Belgium on Thursday. 30 high level administrators of terrorist organization PKK were arrested. Among those arrested were the "leader" of PKK Kongra-Gel Zubeyir Aydar and Remzi Kartal. Italian security forces had conducted operations against terrorist organization PKK last week in Italy.

WE HAVE RECALLED OUR AMBASSADOR
When the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs approved a resolution on so-called "Armenian genocide", Turkey recalled its ambassador in Washington D.C, Namik Tan. The White House released a statement when the 46-member committee was debating the resolution. Republican Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen said the Obama administration wanted the resolution to be stopped.
The vote was in favor of Turkey 22-20, however committee chairperson Howard Berman tried hard to pass the resolution. Berman extended the vote more than an hour. The resolution was adopted by three votes more in favor.
When Ankara learned the result of the vote, it made a jet statement: "We condemn this resolution which accuses Turkish nation of a crime it has never committed. Turkish Ambassador in Washington D.C. Namik Tan has been recalled to Ankara."
EU STROKE ON PKK
After Italy and France, Belgium staged a giant operation against the terrorist organization PKK. Roj TV's center in Brussels was raided in the operation carried out by almost 300 police officers. Police detained 18 people including former Democracy Party (DEP) deputy Remzi Kartal who is responsible for Europe, his aide Zubeyir Aydar, and Adem Uzun in the operation. The detainees are accused of "taking part and conducting terrorist acts."
Also, Gulsen Emsiz, who is responsible for Roj TV in Belgium, and nine staff of the Roj TV were taken into custody. Five of them were released after interrogation. Police launched a wide-scale search at the building. Roj TV's broadcast was cut, but it began again at 3.36 p.m.
Tens of PKK cells were raided in Italy last week and in France the previous day, and the training camps of the organization were revealed. The operation staged in Belgium on Thursday in which many PKK members were detained was interpreted as European Union's (EU) stroke on the PKK.

ONE VOTE CRISIS WITH USA
The resolution on Armenian allegations discussed in the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs was accepted with 23 votes against 22. Ankara showed very strong reaction against the decision and recalled its ambassador Namik Tan to Ankara.
Turkey watched the voting in Washington, D.C. on live broadcast and became hopeful following the call of Obama and Clinton urging the resolution not to pass.

After the raids in France and Italy, counter-terrorism teams in Belgium raided 28 different places in five cities and detained 20 PKK members.
The operation was important as leader of Kongra-Gel Remzi Kartal and another member Zubeyr Aydar were detained.
Police raided center of Roj TV in Denderleeuw and detained several people. Workers of the tv channel claimed that masked police speaking in Turkish also entered the building.
They are charged with carrying out terrorist acts and giving armed training to youngsters.

TURKEY HAS TO PASS THIS TEST, ERDOGAN
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Turkey was passing through a test of democracy. "Turkey has to pass this test," Erdogan stressed.
Reform is essential for development. It would be insincere to oppose reforms just because the ruling political party wants them in Turkey, Erdogan said.
BIG BLOW ON PKK IN EU CAPITAL
Belgian Police dealt a big blow on terrorist organization PKK in Brussels on Thursday. Belgian security forces conducted an operation against PKK with the participation of 300 police officers. The operation was conducted due to PKK's terrorist activities. 20 PKK terrorists were arrested during the operation. Belgian authorities confiscated 100,000 euro belonging to ROJ TV, a station often regarded as the voice of terrorist organization PKK.
