Turkish deputy prime minister said on Friday that democratic initiative was a very important, positive and accurate one but it was sacrificed for domestic policy.

Appearing on television news channel CNNTurk, State Minister and Deputy Premier Bulent Arinc said regarding news stories on a second army that he felt sad about these news reports. "We have only one army. Everything will be done under this army with some new arrangements," he said.

Arinc said that they needed border troops to be trained for certain missions and they would get a special training.

Replying to a question on democratic initiative of the government, Arinc said that the initiative, national unity and brotherhood project, was a very important and positive one but opposition parties did not support it.

Arinc said Justice and Development (AK) Party was left alone in this matter, but it continued working.
