UN Secretary-General's Special Advisor on Cyprus Alexander Downer said on Wednesday that today's meeting between Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) President Dervis Eroglu and Greek Cypriot Leader Demetris Christofias was very fruitful.

The meeting between Eroglu and Christofias at buffer zone in Lefkosa lasted for two hours.

After the meeting, Downer said the two leaders held their meeting on property issue in a positive atmosphere.

Downer said Cypriot leaders would meet on Friday to continue discussing the mentioned issue.

Eroglu and Christofias would meet on August 4 and 10 next week, Downer said.

Eroglu's predecessor Mehmet Ali Talat and Greek Cypriot leader Demetris Christofias got together 71 times under the extensive settlement talks, which began on September 11, 2008.
