Turkey’s main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) would hold a march on Friday in eastern Turkey to condemn terrorism, a lawmaker from Tunceli province said Thursday.

Speaking to reporters at a local hotel, Gursel Erol said the march aims to commemorate a young teacher, who was abducted and killed by PKK terrorists.

On June 16, 23-year-old Necmettin Yilmaz was kidnapped by PKK terrorists. His body was found on July 12 near Pulumur Creek.

The march, aimed to condemn the terrorist attacks, would begin on Friday in eastern Tunceli province at 06.00 p.m. (1500GMT).

Starting at the city center, it will head to the creek where the body of Yilmaz was found.

CHP Deputy Chairman Levent Gok will also attend the march.
