Two people were killed when a gunman opened fire at a Federal Security Service (FSB) office in the far eastern Khabarovsk city, the FSB said Friday.
The service said the early Friday's incident outside the security check point left one officer and one visitor dead.
The assailant was killed by the security forces, it added.
An investigation is underway.
"They have been given 10 days in this regard," it said.
The three-day selloff, organised by the owner of the world's largest rhino farm, kicked off after a last-minute legal tussle pushed its start back two days.
