A total of 46 police officers and 82 protestors were injured during the clashes which broke out in Kafr es-Sheikh city in the north of Nile Delta in Egypt.

Sources told AA on Tuesday that the clashes, which stared after 21 suspects were sentenced to death in Port Said case and on the second anniversary of revolution in Egypt, were continuing.

128 were wounded due to pepper spray and stones which were thrown during the clashes, said sources.

Egyptian Health Ministry stated that a total of 49 people were killed and over 1,400 others were injured during the clashes which had been continuing since last Thursday in the country.
