Seven UN peacekeepers have been seriously injured in a landmine blast in northern Mali, a local source has said.
A UN vehicle struck a landmine on a road linking the towns of Kidal and Gao in northern Mali late Thursday, leaving seven peacekeepers injured, the source told The Anadolu Agency.
Olivier Salvador, spokesperson for the UN mission known as MINUSMA, confirmed the attack, but gave no details about casualties.
Last week, one person was killed in an attack on a UN convoy in northern Mali.
